I'm going to be in Brussels, Belgium from the 20th-22nd to do a participatory project that invites people to express themselves on sticky notes. While I'm gone, Linjie Deng will be in the New York Subway, and many others will be joining the initiative around the globe.
It's the International Day of Happiness and I would like to see the question "What Makes You Happy?" spread all over the world. You can help! All you need are some sticky notes, pens, and a place to put them where people gather. It could be in a classroom, transit center, coffee shop, wherever. I recommend asking for permission if you need to. If money is tight, you can grab sticky notes and pens at a dollar store. You can start something like this for $10, and I know that because I did it.
Already individuals from more than 10 countries are planning to write "What Makes You Happy?" in their communities. I’m excited to see how many people we can get to be a part of this! If you aren't able to do something like this yourself, share the video above with someone you think might be interested. It could be a friend, educator, artist, activist or anyone with a passion for connecting people together.
